Professor of Adult Psychiatry, Monash University

Graham Meadows is Adjunct Professor for the Schools of Clinical Sciences at Monash Health, of Primary and Allied Health Care, and of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, Monash University. He is also Honorary Professor, Centre for Mental Health, School of Global and Population Health, University of Melbourne.

He is a consultant psychiatrist at Monash Health and director of Southern Synergy, the Monash Health Adult Psychiatry Research, Training and Evaluation Centre, a Research Centre in the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences. Professor Meadows is a prominent figure in innovation in mental health care in Australia, with national and international profiles in areas such as GP shared care, resource distribution and applications of mindfulness in clinical mental health practice. He has headed large scale studies investigating mindfulness and recovery oriented practice as clinical and service level interventions and leads the editorial team on a major textbook of multidisciplinary mental health care practice. He is on the Conference Organising Committee and is Program Working Group Chair for the International Conference on Mindfulness – Asia Pacific 2022.
