Widening Participation Researcher and Evaluator, University of Sheffield

Greg Brown is a researcher and evaluator with the University of Sheffield’s Widening Participation Research and Evaluation Unit (WPREU). Since starting with WPREU, he has undertaken a variety of projects, namely evaluating the University’s financial support provision, and working with colleagues to undertake research informing the development of a new pre-16 outreach intervention. He is particularly interested in evaluation research, and developing and implementing the use of theory-driven approaches to the evaluation of widening participation programmes.

After graduating from the University of Stirling with a BA (Hons) in Politics and Social Policy in 2015, Greg went on to complete an MA in Social and Public Policy at the University of Leeds, finishing in September 2016. He started with WPREU at the University of Sheffield in December 2016.
