Grégoire METAIS

Paléontologue, Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique, Muséum national d’histoire naturelle (MNHN)

I am a paleontologist working on morphological evolution of terrestrial mammals (mostly Cenozoic), by using taxonomy and phylogenetics. My research involves geological and paleontological fieldwork, and I collaborate with sedimentary geologists, and tectonicists. My work aims to understand the evolution of biodiversity in deep time, and its relations with constantly changing biotic and abiotic factors. I am based at the Muséum national d'Histoire naturelle (MNHN, CR2P) in Paris.
