Gregorio F. Ortiz

Profesor Titular de Universidad, Química Inorgánica, Universidad de Córdoba

G. F. Ortiz currently works as associate Professor at the Inorganic Chemistry Lab and Institute of Nanochemistry (IUNAN), University of Córdoba (Spain). Also, Dr. Ortiz is Visiting Prof. at the University of Xiamen (China): 2015-2020.

He is PI and coordinator of a Spanish National Project (2017-2020) and collaborator in National Key Research of China. He has collaborated in 16 research projects (EU, National and Regionals) related to energy storage in Li and post-Li batteries.

Past grants and contracts: “Ramón y Cajal fellowship” at the University of Córdoba (2011-2016), CNRS-MaxPlanck contract in LRCS, Amiens (France) (2009-2010) and ANR-CNRS contract in Marseille (France) (2007-2009).

Dr. Ortiz completed his PhD in Chemistry at the University of Córdoba (UCO) in 2006 with cum-laude after a research stay at the Technological University of Darmstadt (Germany).

Interests: Energy Storage, Material Science, Electrochemistry, Li, Na, Mg and hybrid batteries, Chemical Characterizations and Nanotechnology.
