Lecturer in Marketing, Keele University

Dr. Griff Round is Lecturer in Marketing and Course Director for Marketing programmes at Keele Business School, Staffordshire, UK. Prior to this, he taught at Manchester Metropolitan University.

His main teaching and research interests lie in consumer behaviour, retailing and branding and he holds a PhD from Alliance Manchester Business School, UK.

Prior to entering academia, Griff gained twenty years’ experience in senior management roles for a leading UK retailing group in a wide variety of roles, initially within finance but moving across to strategy and ending up as a divisional Head of Marketing. In particular, this involved the development, launch and management of retail financial services in joint ventures with banking institutions.

His research has been published in leading academic journals and he has also written for publications such as The Conversation, Metro and the Manchester Evening News.

A member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Griff is most unusually also a qualified accountant.
