Habiba Djebbari (AMSE)

I am currently Associate Professor in Aix-Marseille School of Economics (AMSE) at Aix-Marseille University (France). I am also Research fellow at IZA (Institute for the Study of Labor) . I received my doctoral degree in Agricultural and Resource Economics from the University of Maryland, College Park.

Prior to joining Aix Marseille University, I was an associate professor in the Department of Economics at Laval University (Quebec, Canada). My research interests include development economics, social networks, education, health, financial inclusion and poverty. I am an applied econometrician. My publication record includes Journal of Econometrics (2008, 2009), Journal of Applied Econometrics (2012), Lancet Global Health (2015) and Economic Development and Cultural Change (2019).

I was also elected director of the development economics and growth division at AMSE and president of the Econometrics Society Africa Region Standing Committee in 2018.
