Postdoctoral Researcher in Biology, UMass Amherst

Hamid is a postdoctoral researcher with a PhD in evolutionary biology from University of Connecticut. Currently, he studies the genomics of tomatoes to provide insights on the traits that were artificially selected as well as the traits that probably were lost or diminished through domestication. To understand the genomic basis of such traits, Hamid explores the tomato genome using a Genome-wide Association Study (GWAS).
