Hana Apsari Pawestri, M.Sc is a researcher at the National Institute of Health Research and Development (NIHRD), Ministry of Health Indonesia. She is involving in several research and laboratory-based surveillance activities for infectious diseases, especially in Virology, such as respiratory infection and diarrhea.

She received her bachelor degree in Biology from University of Padjadjaran, Bandung. She also completed master graduate in Biomedical Sciences at the Academish Medish Centrum Universiteit van Amsterdam (AMC-UvA), The Netherlands. Currently, she is conducting research on Seasonal Influenza A(H1N1)pdm09 and Avian Influenza A(H5N1) for her PhD at the AMC-UvA under the Nuffic-Neso scholarship. During her works and PhD, she had several training and workshop for bioinformatics, virology, and molecular characterization. She has published several paper at both national and international journal.
