Fulbright Scholar, Addis Ababa University

Hanna Amanuel is currently a Fulbright Scholar in Ethiopia. She completed her BA in Social Anthropology, Global Health & Health Policy, and Pre-Medicine at Harvard University and her Masters in African Studies at Oxford University. Hanna has conducted research on reproductive health, humanitarianism and development, and forced migration in Eritrea, Ethiopia, Mexico, South Africa, Sudan, and the United States. As an aspiring physician-anthropologist, she hopes to re-imagine and improve interventions for women’s health and rights in the Horn of Africa and its diaspora.
