Hanna Pettersson

Postdoctoral Research Associate, Leverhulme Centre for Anthropocene Biodiversity, University of York

I am a conservation social scientist who specialises in how to foster convivial relationships between people and wildlife in shared landscapes. My MSc research (University of Oxford) focused on the reintroduction of jaguars and other charismatic fauna in Argentina, while my PhD (University of Leeds) explored the dynamics between expanding wolf populations, managing authorities and pastoral communities in northern Spain. My current postdoctoral research at (at the Leverhulme Centre for Anthropocene Biodiversity, University of York) is centred on the Swedish incentive payment system for large carnivores in the reindeer herding area.
