Harr Freeya Njai

Harr Freeya Njai passed away in 2014.

Harr Freeya Njai rejoined MRC Unit, The Gambia in October 2011 as the Virologist to the PROLIFICA (Prevention of Liver Fibrosis in Africa) project.

Between Jan 2010 – April 2011 Dr Njai was the Study Coordinator/Virologist with the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) based at the Mwanza Intervention Trial Unit (MITU), in Tanzania. Prior to that she was employed as a Virologist with the MRC/UVRI Uganda Research Unit on AIDS from January 2007 to December 2009.

Dr Njai has more than 7 years postdoctoral experience in HIV research, particularly in Virology. She is now using her experience and venturing into a new disease field: Hepatitis Infection.
