Heather Lawford is a professor in the Department of Psychology and a Canada Research Chair in Youth Development. Her research examines youth generativity. That is, she investigates youth capacity to reach their full potential and making meaningful and lasting contributions to their community. She is also co-Director of Research for the Centre of Excellence for Youth Engagement at the Students Commission of Canada, a non-profit organization that partners with youth to create the #CanadaWeWant (#leCanadaquenoussouhaitons) from community initiatives to national policy levels.
