Professor of Philosophy, University of Manchester

The University of Manchester's Samuel Hall Professor of Philosophy, Helen Beebee studied at Warwick (BA), Liverpool (MA) and King's College London (PhD). She has held positions at Edinburgh (1994-5), St. Andrews (1995-6), UCL (1996-7), the Australian National University (1997-9), and Birmingham (2005-12).

She is an associate editor of the British Journal for the Philosophy of Science, was Director of the British Philosophical Assocation from 2007 to 2011 and is co-chair of the BPA/Society for Women in Philosophy (UK) Committee for Women in Philosophy.
