I have undergraduate degrees in English (La Trobe) and music Melbourne), an MA (Monash) and PhD (Melbourne) in medieval French song.
I am co-editor, with Helen M. Hickey, of Singing Death: Reflections on Music and Mortality, published by Routledge, London, 2017. My PhD was published as a book, Desire by Gender and Genre in Touvère Song, by D. S. Brewer, 2008. I work in the area of medieval French song, especially songs in the woman's voice, also medievalism, emotion and nostalgia.
