Hélène Cherrier completed her PhD at the University of Arkansas on dispossession and identity work in the context of downshifting. Her research interests focus on bringing about a more sustainable and just society and involve changes in consumption lifestyles, social and environmental activism, practices of re-use and re-purposing, and anti-consumption.
