Professor of Fish Physiology, University of Stirling

I am Director of Research at Stirling's Institute of Aquaculture. I am leading the reproduction team currently composed of two lecturers (Drs. Davie and Carboni) and five postdoctoral fellows (Drs Taylor, Leclercq, McStay, Vera and Counter), ten PhD students and MSc/BSc students.

My main research interests are in environmental, endocrinological and molecular control of fish physiology, mainly puberty, chronobiology systems (particularly melatonin, the circadian axis and clocks) and genetic manipulation for sterility in a range of temperate and tropical teleost species as well as new emerging aquaculture species.
