I have an undergraduate degree in Geology from Kiel University in Germany, with training in Marine Geology and Geochemistry. I did my PhD research at the University of Victoria, Canada; using stable isotopes measured on ice core samples to constrain methane emissions. I have completed Post-Doc research at Oregon State University, USA, and the University of Grenoble, France. I joined NIWA in 2008 to study past and present trends and dynamics in atmospheric greenhouse gases, with a focus on isotope records.
