Ian Walkinshaw is a senior lecturer at Griffith University in Queensland, Australia, where he is director of the Master of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (MTESOL) program. His areas of research interest include pragmatics, TESOL, English as a lingua franca, and English as a medium of instruction at Asia-Pacific universities. His latest publication is the edited volume Pragmatics in English as a Lingua Franca: Findings and Developments (forthcoming in 2022, De Gruyter Mouton).
