Ilona Karpanos

Ilona's research interests are in Russian politics, corruption, international politics, and political economy.

Ilona's PhD research explores the impact of organised crime on the political and economic landscape of Russia. This has been chosen as the focus of Ilona's research because of the increased emergence of the factual information of the part played by organised crime within the Russian State.

Ilona obtained a BA in Finance from Manchester University, an MBA in Marketing from Manchester University, and an MA in International Business from Anglia Ruskin University.
