Assistant Professor of Management, Fayetteville State University

Dr. J. Lee Brown III is an assistant professor of management in the School of Business and Economics at Fayetteville State University. He teaches Principles of Management and Strategic Management. He earned his Ph.D. in Strategic Management and International Business at Old Dominion University. He holds a master of science degree in Business Administration from Strayer University and a bachelor of science degree in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University. His scholarly interests and expertise include innovation management, corporate entrepreneurship, and international corporate governance. Dr. Brown's previous business experience includes 14 years at multiple levels of management, in roles such as product manager, regional manager, and brand manager for Fortune 500 companies. His scholarly work has been published in the Journal of International Business Studies, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice and has also been presented at prestigious conferences, such as the Strategic Management Society, the Academy of International Business, the Academy of Management, and the conference on Corporate Governance and Global Financial Crisis at the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School. In his personal life, he is an avid runner and he and his lovely wife have three children.
