Research Fellow, University of Sydney

James Dunk is a research fellow in the department of history at the University of Sydney and a conjoint fellow in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Newcastle. He is the author of Bedlam at Botany (NewSouth, 2019) a political history of madness in penal New South Wales. He has co-edited special issues of Rethinking History and Health and History. He writes regularly for Australian Book Review.
