James Gomez

Professor Dr James Gomez is an academic and university administrator with over 25 years of international experience working for public and private universities, research institutes, think-tanks and inter-governmental organizations. He has accumulated vast administrative, business development, financial, staff management and internationalization proficiency having served as associate dean, head of school, head of department, head of programme, head of committees, section chief and in other leadership roles at various institutions. Has professional exposure to different institutional environments with student numbers ranging from 4,000 to 35, 000 and in a multi-campus and multi-country structure. He is well exposed to diverse staff and student cultures while working full-time in Australia, Bangladesh, China, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Sweden, Thailand, and the United Kingdom. Professor Gomez also serves as an international expert to advisory boards, editorial committees, quality assurance panels, grant review boards, government agencies and as external examiner to academic departments, schools, faculties and universities. He is a Singapore national.
