Senior Research Fellow, Queen's University Belfast

James Reihill is currently a Senior Research Fellow in the School of Pharmacy. He graduated as a Biomedical Scientist at Queen’s University Belfast (2004) during which time, he spent a year as a Research Associate in the Department of Physiology and Cell Biology at the University of Nevada Reno where he trained in electrophysiological techniques. Subsequently he gained a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from the University of Glasgow (2009) before returning to Queen’s University as a post-doctoral research fellow.
He has over 10 years’ experience in chronic lung disease research having published several manuscripts in internationally recognised peer-reviewed journals
He is passionate about contributing to outreach activities including as a STEM ambassador, fostering better public understanding of science.
