Lecturer in the Department of Philosophy, University of York

I am presently an Associate Lecturer in the Department of Philosophy, and the Dean of Students within the School of PEP.

Before joining York in 2017, I received my PhD from the University of Reading under the supervision of Brad Hooker and Philip Stratton-Lake (2014), where I wrote my thesis on the internal nature of practical reasons, and the distinction between agent-neutral and agent-relative reasons and values. Upon completing my PhD, I worked as Sessional Lecturer at the University of Reading until 2015, and from 2015 - 2017 I held a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at the Nova Institute of Philosophy within the New University of Lisbon, Portugal.
