Prof Jamie Gaskarth writes and teaches on foreign policy, security, intelligence and ethics. He is the author/editor of six books on international relations and foreign policy, has provided policy advice to a number of UK government departments and served on the Academic Consultative Panel for the 2015 National Security Strategy/SDSR and the challenge group for the Annual Review in 2016.
He is co-editor of the Journal of Global Security Studies and on the editorial boards of Foreign Policy Analysis and International Studies Perspectives.
His most recent book is Secrets and Spies: UK Intelligence Accountability After Iraq and Snowden (London/Washington, D.C.: Chatham House/Brookings Institution Press, 2020).
