Deputy Director ARC Centre of Excellence for the History of Emotions, University of Melbourne

Jane Davidson’s career has spanned the university sector, conservatory education and the music profession. Her interests are in music psychology, music education, musicology, music theatre, vocal performance and contemporary dance. She has written more than 100 scholarly publications and secured a range of research grants. She has worked as an opera singer and a music theatre director. She is currently heading a research initiative in the creative and performing arts at the Faculty of the Victorian College of the Arts and the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, The University of Melbourne, and is Deputy Director of the ARC Centre of Excellence for the History of Emotions.
