Janelle L Harris

Janelle Harris researched DNA single strand break repair at the Queensland Institute of Medical Research under the guidance of Professor Martin Lavin from 2003 to 2008, obtaining her PhD in 2009. Her current work in the laboratory of Professor Kum Kum Khanna focuses on defective DNA repair in breast cancer. Our work is supported by the NHMRC, CCQ and NBCF. By understanding the function of DNA repair molecules and their interplay with each other, we aim to exploit cancer-associated DNA repair defects for improved cancer treatments.
