Lecturer in Cognitive and Experimental Psychology, University of Bath

Janet is a Lecturer in Psychology and a member of the Centre for Pain Research at the University of Bath in the UK. Her research is about the mental processes that underlie our sensations, attention, movements, and the way we think and feel about our body. She is particularly interested in how these processes are altered in medical conditions like stroke or chronic pain. Her current research aims to use this understanding to find new ways to prevent and treat chronic pain.

Prior to her appointment at the University of Bath, she worked as the Drapers' Company Junior Research Fellow at St Anne's College at the University of Oxford, and as a postdoctoral fellow for the French National Institute of Health and Medical Research.
