Chief Research Manager, Human Sciences Research Council

Jarè Struwig is a Chief Research Manager and Coordinator of the South African Social Attitudes Survey (SASAS) in the Democracy, Governance and Service Delivery (DGSD) research programme at the Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC). She has a MA in Research Psychology from University of Pretoria. For the past decade, her interest has shifted to quantitative research and large scale national surveys-more specifically monitoring and modelling social attitudes in South Africa. She is currently the coordinator of the South African Social Attitudes Survey (SASAS) which attempts chart and explain the interaction between the countries’s changing institutions, its political and economic structures, and the attitudes, beliefs and behaviour pat¬terns of its diverse populations.
