Jason A. Delborne

Jason Delborne is Professor of Science, Policy, and Society (Department of Forestry and Environmental Resources) and Director of Science, Technology, and Society (STS) at North Carolina State University. As a founding member of the Genetic Engineering and Society Center, he conducts research on public and stakeholder engagement surrounding emerging environmental biotechnologies. He has served on two expert committees for the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (gene drives, forest biotechnology) and an IUCN Task Force on Synthetic Biology and Biodiversity Conservation.
