I am a documentary filmmaker and film historian, specialized in non-fiction filmmaking, documentary and ethnographic film history, North African cinema, and film festivals, having published four academic books, numerous book chapters, and articles. My most recent documentary is "Still Moving: Pilobolus at Forty," www.pilobolusfilm.com. I have a monograph forthcoming on the Telluride Film Festival in Colorado, "Telluride in the Film Festival Galaxy," and I am co-editing a forthcoming peer-reviewed journal issue on "Film Festivals: Origins and Trajectories." Additionally, I am an an OpEd Project Public Voices Fellow.
