Originally from Canada, Jennifer is an a Associate Lecturer in Health and Early Childhood Education at Flinders University. She has a diverse teaching background in early childhood settings, inner-city schools, and second language learning with particular interests in health education and inter-professional collaborations to support health and wellbeing. Her experience in pre-service teacher education in Canada and Australia has been focused on embodiment and agentic teaching practices in health education, with current research interests and projects into investigating how pre-service teachers understand, challenge, and develop their reflective practice and sense of professionalism. Jennifer is a PhD candidate in the Discipline of Public Health whose research investigates young children's understandings of their own wellbeing as they transition to school.
