I am a Senior Lecturer and Programme Lead for MA Health and Social Care.
I am an interdisciplinary academic and researcher with a focus on ageing well in communities (spaces and places). This includes asset based community engagement, community spaces, formal and informal care in communities, sense of place, loneliness and wellbeing.
I am a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and have a substantive experience of teaching and training, and am a graduate of the Aurora Leadership in Higher Education programme for women.
My research interests are in community engagement; community capacity building; community spaces and activities; social isolation; ageing in place; wellbeing.
My research studies have been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at both national and international conferences.
