Jenny Wood is a Research Associate in the Institute for Social Policy, Housing and Equalities Research (I-SPHERE) at Heriot-Watt University. She has undertaken research on homelessness policy, severe and multiple disadvantage, interventions to assist people facing homelessness, inclusive urban planning, and children’s human rights. She has delivered a range of community engagement sessions with children; training to policy-makers and practitioners; and presented an international keynote presentation. She is also co-founder and chair of the board for new Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation ‘A Place in Childhood’ (APiC), and board member of Play Scotland. She has a keen interest in the Child Friendly City Movement and is currently advising on research into what makes a child friendly environment in South Korea.
