Professor of political ecology, University of Copenhagen

Jens Friis Lund is professor of political ecology at the University of Copenhagen. His research concerns equity, justice and knowledge hierarchies in the context of environmental change and governance. He has worked on the politics of forestry, wildlife conservation and land management in Tanzania and Nepal, timber governance in Ghana, and economic and social issues of hunting and other recreational uses of rural landscape in Denmark. He is increasingly engaging in debates on climate change through teaching, science communication and activism.
