Jesse Heley has a PhD from Aberystwyth University and is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Geography and Earth Sciences at the same institution. His research focuses on the dynamics of change in the countryside, with a particular focus on the impacts of globalisation on rural communities, rural identity and cultures of volunteering. Jesse's work also considers the relationship between rural and urban spaces, rural development strategies and spatial planning.
