Jideofor Adibe is a Professor of Political Science and International Relations at Nasarawa State University, Keffi, Nigeria. He holds degrees in political science (B.Sc, M.Sc. from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka) and a doctorate in International Development Studies from Roskilde University, Denmark. He also holds an LLM degree in Media Law from City University London.

He has held Research Fellowships at several institutions across the world including the Centre for Development Research, Copenhagen, Denmark; the Nordic Institute for African Studies, Uppsala, Sweden and the Centre for Developing Area Studies, McGill University, Montreal, Canada. He has also consulted for many organizations including the Brookings Institution, (USA), the National Peace Committee (Nigeria) and the Centre for Democracy and Development, Abuja, Nigeria.

While living and working in London, Professor Adibe in 2003, founded Adonis & Abbey Publishers (www.adonis-abbey.com), which has today become a major publisher of professional books, peer-reviewed and indexed academic journals and the online newspaper, The News Chronicle (www.thenews-chronicle.com). He was for ten years (2010-2020), a back page columnist for the Daily Trust, a leading Nigerian daily newspaper. He is the author or editor of 12 books and numerous articles in peer-reviewed academic journals, newspapers/magazines and online platforms. He is also the editor-in-chief of two well-respected and peer-reviewed academic journals - the African Journal of Terrorism and Insurgency Research and the SCOPUS-indexed Journal of African Union Studies.
