Joe Smith

Joe was a newspaper journalist in the UK and Asia before resuming his academic career. His work at the Wellcome Centre at Exeter concerns positive psychology, wellbeing and happiness research, and he's writing a modern history of these movements. Joe remains fascinated also by the moral, political and philosophical dimensions of cognitive science, with evolutionary psychology, cognitive biases and with cross-cultural psychology. His degrees are in philosophy, politics and economics and in psychology.
