Leader, Titanium Technologies, CSIRO

Over the last several years my experience at both commercial and government organizations has allowed me to learn the value of strong leadership skills, the ability to break down complex technical challenges into simpler concepts which can be broadly appreciated and the value of linking people and teams together to provide value. I exercise a varied network to marry need with capability to enable growth through innovation. I understand the critical role of funding but maintain that lack of a good idea is more of a problem than lack of funding. I am adept at managing change in a large organization. Lastly, I am experienced at international program management in both production and research environments.

My first goal is to lead Australia into an era of Titanium metal production and associated downstream processing.

Secondarily, I want to lead and craft a successful investment strategy for Additive Manufacturing which is both sensible for Australia and also globally relevant.
