Senior Research Fellow at the Department of Education, University of Oxford

Dr John Coleman is a Senior Research Fellow in the Department for Education at the University of Oxford. He is the former Director of the Trust for the Study of Adolescence from 1989 to 2005, before becoming a Senior Policy Advisor to the Department of Health from 2005 to 2006.

He was awarded an OBE in 2001 as part of the Queen's Birthday Honours.

His current research interests include the development of healthy schools and the impact of new technologies on young people's educational and social development.
