I am a psychologist who conducts research into the psychological problem of psychosis. My particular interest is providing a means for understanding the nature and psychological mechanism for the bizarre symptoms of psychosis, which the father of psychiatry ,Carl Jaspers referred to as 'un-understandable'. My quest is to make them understandable and I feel that the current research paradigm, cognitive psychology, will be unable to achieve this without embracing phenomenological methods too.
