John has led the development of fit-for-purpose climate change projections for a wide range of national and international stakeholders since August 2009. He has over 20 years’ experience undertaking, interpreting, applying and communicating science to a range of clients in the fields of climate change impacts and adaptation, and conservation ecology. John managed the development and roll-out of the major upgrade of the Climate Change in Australia website in 2015. He also managed development of the Pacific Climate Futures web-tool (www.pacificclimatefutures.net) which was launched in 2011. He has worked extensively in-country with many Pacific Island colleagues to help build capacity in those nations. Previously, John had a significant influence on the management of conservation lands in Queensland, Australia, particularly in the fields of threatened species and fire management. His Masters research focused on the ecology of, and climate change impacts on one of Australia’s most endangered frog species.
