I am final-year doctoral fellow at the African Centre for Migration and Society (ACMS), University of the Witwatersrand. My research investigates the everyday lived experiences of LGBTQI+ refugees, asylum seekers and forced migrants in Kenya and South Africa. I have a particular interest in the ethics and practices of knowledge production and often incorporate participatory arts-based methodologies into my research work. I am a co-founder and co-coordinator of the African LGBTQI+ Migration Research Network (www.almn.org.za).
