Associate Professor of Strategic Analysis, The University of Queensland

John Steen is an Associate Professor at UQ Business School. His ability in business education has been recognised by citations from the University of Queensland and the Australian Teaching and Learning Council. John's research interests include strategy and innovation and he is currently working with organisations such as Rio Tinto, Hatch, GHD, Ergon Energy, Ernst and Young, Groundprobe, and Brisbane City Council on a number of research projects around effective innovation management.

He has been involved with corporate education since 2004 and has developed customized innovation and strategy programmes for Telecom New Zealand, BHP, Groundprobe, CSIRO, Queensland Government, Laing O'Rourke, Australian and New Zealand School of Government (ANZOG), IBM and Queensland Health.

He has also provided consulting services to a number of organisations including Ergon Energy, Teys Australia, Cargill, ANZ Banking Group, Meat and Livestock Australia and the Australian Federal Public Service.
