Jolanta Burke

Dr Jolanta Burke is a Chartered Psychologist and a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) at the RCSI University of Medicine and Health Sciences, Centre for Positive Health Sciences. She is passionate about Positive Psychology (the science of wellbeing) and Positive Health (the science of wellbeing incorporating body and mind). She was a director of positive-psychology-related programmes at the University of East London (UK) and Maynooth University (Ireland). Currently, she is a co-Director of Masters in Positive Health Coaching.

Dr Burke has authored over 10 books and was invited to speak at events worldwide. She leads a “Positive Activity Research Lab” at RCSI University of Medicine and Health Sciences and has received research funding from organisations such as the Irish Research Council, Health Research Board, Erasmus+ and Science Foundation Ireland. She regularly contributes to the media and writes articles for newspapers, such as the Guardian and the Irish Independent. She writes an invited blog for Psychology Today, her articles in the Conversation have reached over 2 million reads. Dr Burke was acknowledged by the Irish Times as one of 30 people who make Ireland a better place.
