Jonathan Meer is a Professor of economics at Texas A&M University, where he is also the Private Enterprise Research Center Professor, the department's Director of Undergraduate Programs, and a Research Associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research. He got his Ph.D. from the Department of Economics at Stanford University in 2009 and he graduated from Princeton University in 2002 with an A.B. in Economics and a certificate in Applied & Computational Mathematics. His research interests include investigating individuals' decisions — such as whether to make a charitable donation — and their reasons for making them.
