Dr Judy Rex has been associated with Swinburne University of Technology for many years. Judy's recent research projects include a large-scale research project examining the deregulation of the electricity industry in Victoria, and developing packages to encourage customers to switch suppliers; a survey on the image of sports in Victoria; and developing a marketing plan for a not for profit organisation. her current research interests are in sustainability and ethical decision making.

Prior to working at Swinburne, Judy spent 18 years working for The Roy Morgan Research Centre in Melbourne. During this time, she worked on the marketing research needs of a large range of clients, as well as their statistical and media needs. She has been involved in the planning, development and launch of many products and services onto the Australian market. She also has overseas working experience in the UK with Foote, Cone and Belding (FCB), and in the USA with Market Facts and the Gallup Organisation. Judy has a sound knowledge of marketing and marketing research, specialising in qualitative and quantitative practices, and modeling the sales and marketing performance for a broad range of industries both in Australia and overseas.

Judy is primarily responsible for teaching Marketing Research, Research Methodology, e-marketing and Consumer Behaviour at undergraduate, Honours and post graduate levels. Her research interests include consumer behaviour, marketing not for profits, sustainability ethical decision making and the environment.
