Julian Le Grand is the Richard Titmuss Professor of Social Policy at the London School of Economics.

From 2003 to 2005 he was seconded as senior policy adviser to the Prime Minister at No 10 Downing St. He is a trustee of the Kings Fund and Chair of the Mutuals Task Force.
