Julie Christine Cotton

Julie Christine Cotton is a psychoeducator and professor in the Department of Community Health Sciences at the Université de Sherbrooke. She has expertise in cultural adaptation of programs in an Aboriginal context. Using participatory methods, her current work focuses on minority stress and issues experienced by 2SLGBTQIA+ people in Quebec, as well as on the development of culturally sensitive resources for these people. She coordinates the Comité de concertation en santé trans de l'Estrie, which brings together more than twenty health and social service professionals, people of gender diversity and the scientific community.
