Emeritus Prof, Australian Centre for Water and Environmental Biotechnology (ACWEB), The University of Queensland

Em/Prof Jurg Keller (IWA Distinguished Fellow, FTSE) has been the founding Director of the Advanced Water Management Centre (now changed to ACWEB) at the University of Queensland (1996-2015) and Chief Research Officer of the CRC for Water Sensitive Cities (2015-2019).

He has over 30 years experience in water industry research, particularly in biological wastewater treatment, environmental biotechnology, microbial fuel cells and resource recovery concepts.

He aims to combine leading edge research and development activities with effective industry-relevant collaborations. He is also passionate about diversity and inclusion opportunities for all, and particularly supportive of the next generations of (emerging) researchers.
